I’ve been on a couple of deserted islands, and it’s been great.
I’ve had a great time, and I’ve met some amazing people.
But this one, which I’ve named the Columbian Exchange, is different.
You can’t leave until you get out, you can’t talk to anyone for three days, and you can only buy one item per day.
The only way you can buy anything is with a coin.
The coins are limited, so if you get tired of eating, or don’t want to leave, you’re out of luck.
It’s like having a goldmine on your hands.
I spent a week trying to find a way to get a coin into the exchange, and eventually I found a workaround: I took my phone, a cheap cell phone that has no internet, and put it in a coin box on top of my tent.
When I got there, the coins were waiting for me.
When my phone was in the coin box, it was in mint condition.
I then bought a second coin, and brought that into the coin room to show the exchange workers.
I didn’t expect to be getting paid to play the game.
The Columbians are the closest thing we have to the virtual equivalent of a cashier at a bank.
They pay you with a nickel, and your job is to check the coin for the amount of the nickel.
I found out this is a problem because the coins are all broken.
The exchange worker, who is named Jack, said they are broken all the time, sometimes by people trying to sell the same coin multiple times.
This is not an isolated incident.
I was told about another one, this time at a gas station.
They don’t let you use a credit card at gas stations, so they charge you for every penny you use.
When a customer tries to pay with a credit or debit card, the exchange worker checks the coin and says, “Oh, it’s a dollar.
This won’t do.”
You need to use a coin to get into the Columbo Exchange, and Jack knows exactly how to get in.
He’s been playing the game for two weeks, and he has never left his tent.
If I hadn’t found him, there would be no way for me to go back to the mainland and play again.
I’d be on the road for a week, playing for three hours a day, every day.
I have no idea how many people I’d have to play with, but it’s definitely a good challenge for someone like me.
I’m looking forward to it.
